An adaptation of my short story ‘Decree Absolute’ featured in “Crime Scene Singapore” which has turned into a ten-minute play entitled “The Same Old Song” is currently in rehearsal for the Short + Sweet Festival in Singapore in November and December. Gala performance 14-17 December at The Esplanade Theatres. Director is Nicholas Chee, Director of Sinema SG. I am participating on the panel “Writers Across Cultures – Fiction Through a Foreign Lense” at the 2011 Singapore Writers Festival (SWF). The SWF is a multi-lingual, multi-disciplinary festival which hosts authors from across the world. Do come down on 29 October between 5-6 at the Arts House to that panel and attend all the other interesting panels and discussions, meet the authors and have a good time. Love and Lust launch and Substation party

The anthology of stories from the Lion City met with great success at the launch at the Arts House in October and the wonderful charity event organised by one of my co-authors, Marc Checkley, in November. Two of my stories were read. Filial Piety was read by famous Singaporean actress Koh Chieng Mun, and a lusty version of I Got You, Babe, was performed by the excellent Sharul Channa. Other authors featured were Felix Chong, Marc and Damyanti Ghosh. It was a great event and all proceeds went to the charity WISH of the Society for Reading and Literature in Singapore.
